For thousands of years, people have gazed at the stars and wondered about their meaning.

In Greek mythology, there are the 12 gods of Olympus: Apollo, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Hestia, Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Artemis, and Athena – above the clouds, and their stories are still reflected in the celestial bodies today because the planets still bear their names:

ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΗ Aphrodite as Venus or ΑΡΗΣ Ares as Mars.

But other cultures also tell fascinating stories: the ancient Egyptians associated the stars with gods and otherworldly journeys, the Mesopotamians saw signs and oracles in the celestial patterns, and in Norse mythology gods danced across the firmament. This lecture invites you to see the starry sky with new eyes, immerse yourself in the myths and discover the traces of the gods and stars.

Feeling inspired to explore further myths, the sensation of stories, and exploring the connection between heaven and humanity.
