VHS Frankfurt

Frankfurt am Main – a city full of diversity and history. For decades, there has been a squatter scene here that has made it its mission to create space for political activity, alternative lifestyles, and social engagement. Rightly so?

With keynote speeches and a panel discussion, we want to address the political, cultural, and historical significance of squatting. We want to engage in conversation with activists, supporters, and critics to examine the legitimacy of this form of protest from all sides. For example, how does the squatter scene shape urban space? What role does it play in housing policy? We cordially invite you to join the discussion.

The Stadthaus am Markt is centrally located in Frankfurt city centre, between the cathedral and Römer, Schirn Kunsthalle and Braubachstraße. It is easily accessible by S-Bahn, U-Bahn, car or on foot. Visitors will find more than 600 parking spaces in the nearby DomRömer car park.

The event is free of charge.
