The internationally acclaimed and multiple award-winning Frankfurt-based dancer Honji Wang can be experienced in collaboration with local young participants at the Frankfurter Kunstverein.
Together with Caterina Politi, Marco Di Nardo, and students from the Rudolf Koch School in Offenbach, Wang presents a performance titled “La La Land”, specially developed for the Frankfurter Kunstverein. “La La Land” emerges from being in shared space: professional dancers and local participants meet on equal terms, each contributing their own bodies, stories, and movement logics. The performance is part of the exhibition “Hidden History”, which makes artistic positions of subculture in Frankfurt Rhine-Main visible.
The Frankfurter Kunstverein is an interdisciplinary exhibition space for contemporary art and culture. Here, an inquisitive public encounters exhibitions that engage the senses and discovers new perspectives on our present.
The project partner is the Diamant Museum for Urban Culture, Offenbach, which engages with historical and contemporary positions of subversive and subcultural activity in the Frankfurt Rhine Main region.
