Kirche unterwegs

Kirche unterwegs brings together community, hiking, the region, and physical activity with the history of the „Kirchenruine Landstein“ through a church service in the tradition of the Marian pilgrimage. For this reason, the Taunus Nature Park, together with the Family Church Herz Jesu of the parish St. Marien Bad Homburg–Friedrichsdorf, once again invites everyone to come together this year.

Several guided hikes will be offered, all leading to the event location at the „Kirchenruine Landstein“. The open-air festive church service of the Family Church Herz Jesu of the parish St. Marien Bad Homburg will also take place at the ruins of the former pilgrimage church “ Unsere liebe Frau zum Landstein.” In this setting, the special character of this spiritual place becomes especially clear.

To round off the event, a light lunch as well as coffee and cake will be offered. Admission to the event is free.

The event is free of charge. The Taunus Nature Park would appreciate a donation. Further information will be available shortly on the event website, which is currently being set up.

As on-site parking is very limited, a shuttle service to the Landstein church ruins will be provided. The Landstein church ruins are situated in a hollow, so it gets chilly in the evening. Please ensure you bring warm enough clothing and, if necessary, blankets.
