Following the move to Aliceplatz, the new "Cultural Courtyard Garden" will be officially inaugurated. Friends of the gardens, neighbours, curious passers-by, and long-time companions are warmly invited to spend a summer evening together in the heart of the city.
Look forward to a garden bar serving ice-cold herb-infused water, soft drinks, and beer; the opportunity to make and taste your own herb butter using fresh herbs from the garden; a fan-making workshop with Hada Werkstatt; and live music by Sallar with the mobile Soundhänger. Throughout the evening, water features will provide a refreshing way to cool down before the event concludes with a concert by Frankfurt-based singer-songwriter Tigisti.
Guests are welcome to contribute cakes, salads, snacks, or other favourite dishes to the Bring & Share buffet. If possible, please also bring a large serving spoon or other serving utensils. As there is no running water on site, everyone is kindly asked to bring their own plate, cutlery, and cup. A compost toilet will be available. Please help keep the courtyard clean and look out for one another in the summer heat so that everyone can enjoy a pleasant evening together. The Cultural Courtyard Garden looks forward to welcoming many familiar and new faces.
Travel Information
The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please note that the toilet on site is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
The garden is located approximately a 3-minute walk from Marktplatz S-Bahn station. The entrance is on Aliceplatz, opposite the KOMM.
In case of extreme heat, the KOMM building opposite the garden is air-conditioned and can be used to cool down.
The project is by hada – Werkstatt für Gemeinwohl. It is actively supported by the City of Offenbach, in particular by GBO Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft Offenbach mbH and Stadtwerke Offenbach. We cooperate with numerous institutions and partners, including Palmengarten Frankfurt, Frankfurt UAS, HfG Offenbach, the Federal Employment Agency, the Juvenile Court Offenbach, as well as further projects, initiatives and individuals from the surrounding area.
