Democracy thrives on mutual exchange. But how can this be shaped so that we truly listen to one another rather than simply trying to persuade each other?
In this interactive workshop, we will practise active listening together and explore how to create space for complexity in conversations, enabling genuine dialogue on equal terms.
The questioning techniques are scientifically proven and have been shown to improve the quality of exchange. They are largely based on the work of the American author Amanda Ripley, who describes them in her book High Conflict: Why We Get Trapped and How We Get Out (2021).
