Botanischer Garten & Palmengarten Frankfurt – Workshop: Frankfurter Utopie-Collagen

What might Frankfurt look like in the future? A city full of greenery?

Hamburg-based artist and visual utopian Jan Kamensky creates video animations of places without cars. The digital gardener will create one of his famous visual utopias for the Palmengarten. The workshop will focus on specific locations in Frankfurt, such as the Europaviertel, and consider how they could be redesigned. Participants will work alongside Jan Kamensky to create utopian collages of these locations using crayons and cut-outs.

The workshop is part of the Plant Exchange. On the weekend of 21 and 22 March, the Palmengarten is hosting a large plant market with rare and classic plants for balconies, gardens and interiors. The plant sale will be accompanied by a varied programme of information stands, hands-on activities, guided tours and workshops on the theme of garden utopias for curious minds of all ages.
