BiciBus – Ride The Beat

Ride the Beat – Children and Youth Move Frankfurt. On August 15, young people will transform Frankfurt’s streets into a space for connection, movement, and music.

Ride the Beat is a bicycle demonstration with music curated by young people, taking place as part of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain2026. The event starts with an opening rally at Brückenspielplatz in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. From there, participants will cycle a scenic eight-kilometre route along Frankfurt’s historic Anlagenring, showcasing how public space can be safe, lively, and welcoming for all. The ride concludes at Montez in Hafenpark with a closing rally celebrating the day’s achievements. Ride the Beat highlights the importance of designing urban spaces where children and young people can travel safely, confidently, and independently by bicycle. The event also supports the planned BiciBus meeting point at Brückenspielplatz, promoting everyday cycling, sustainable mobility, and stronger local communities. Combining music, cycling, and civic engagement, Ride the Beat demonstrates how public space can inspire participation, creativity, and a more child-friendly future for urban mobility.
