Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct sets out the values and principles that are important to us. These guidelines are based on our democratic constitution and shape our work both internally and externally. They aim to create an environment where everyone feels safe and respected. To achieve this, we define goals that guide our daily actions while also setting clear boundaries that we do not tolerate being crossed.

This Code of Conduct is upheld by the people who embrace it. We regularly review and refine it to ensure it meets the needs of an evolving and diverse society.

Respect and Appreciation

We foster a respectful, open, and constructive environment where all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or abilities, feel valued and welcome.
  • Respectful communication: We do not tolerate offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language.
  • Openness and respect: We acknowledge and respect differing opinions and perspectives, even when they challenge our own. No one should face disadvantages for voicing constructive criticism or concerns.
  • Zero tolerance for discrimination: We do not tolerate discrimination based on origin, gender, sexual orientation, identity, religion, beliefs, physical or mental abilities, or social background.
  • Respect for different cultures: Cultural expressions deserve recognition and respect. We avoid adopting traditions, symbols, or rituals without context or consent. Instead, we encourage respectful dialogue that acknowledges the origins and significance of cultural elements.

Diversity and Inclusion

    • Promoting diversity: We actively incorporate different perspectives and encourage open exchange.
    • Accessibility: We strive to make projects and events as accessible as possible.

    Sustainability

We act responsibly in our use of natural and material resources. Sustainability is a guiding principle in all areas of our work.

    Responsibility towards climate & nature
    • Resource efficiency: We prioritise sustainable materials and resource-conscious methods, such as promoting circular economies, recycling, and reuse.
    • Transparency: We share information openly, clearly, and transparently

    Long-Term Social Impact
    • Sustainable investments: Projects we support must be socially and environmentally sustainable.
    • Long-term impact: Our work aims to make social responsibility visible through lasting positive social and ecological effects.

    Creativity and Innovation

We see creativity and optimism as key drivers of positive social change. Creative thinking and action fuel our daily work. Design is a dynamic process that requires openness, courage, and a willingness to learn. We use design as a tool for dialogue, creating spaces that invite participation—vibrant, accessible, and communal.
    • If someone violates the Code of Conduct, we may initiate discussions or moderation to address the issue.
    • Serious breaches may result in concrete consequences, including exclusion from projects or events.
    • All participants are encouraged to report incidents or concerns confidentially.
    • We reserve the right to terminate collaborations with partners who significantly violate our values.
