Open – Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain
What is the Open?
With the Open, WDC 2026 is launching the region’s very first Design Week – the Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain. Our aim is to place agencies, studios, workshops, universities, and companies at the centre of attention.
Because design goes far beyond aesthetics. It shapes how we live, work, and interact – from products and spaces to digital systems. It translates ideas into tangible realities, opens up new perspectives, and creates pathways for participation, sustainability, and community. In short: design doesn’t just shape things – it shapes our future.
With the Open, we want to showcase and make this potential of design accessible – to both an international professional audience and the people of Frankfurt RheinMain. In June 2026, Frankfurt RheinMain will become an international stage, bringing to life the transformative power of design.
Our vision: A stage for everyone who wants more!
- Visibility for all: From start-ups to global players – everyone will find the right platform.
- New impulses & creative synergies: Innovation and cross-industry networking.
- International reach: Impact far beyond Hesse, with global relevance.
